Overview:

Welcome to Iomega Tools for the Pocket PC. These tools enable you to use an Iomega PocketZip(TM) PC Card Drive with your Pocket PC.

Read the following information before you install the Iomega Tools.

PREREQUISITES
o Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC
o Dual-Slot PC Card Expansion Pack
o 1.63 ROM, 1.69 ROM, or 1.77 ROM on your Pocket PC

LOCATING YOUR POCKETZIP DRIVE IN FILE EXPLORER
To locate your PocketZip drive:

1. Insert a PocketZip disk in the drive. The drive will not display in File Explorer until you insert a disk in the drive.

2. Select Start > Programs > File Explorer. File Explorer opens to the My Documents folder.

3. Select My Documents on the grey bar and select My Device.

4. The PocketZip drive displays as a folder named Storage Card or Storage Card2.

NAMING CONVENTIONS FOR MULTIPLE POCKETZIP DRIVES
The first PocketZip drive that you insert in either slot of the Expansion Pack is named Storage Card.

The second PocketZip drive that you insert in either slot of the Expansion Pack is named Storage Card2.

The Memory Control Panel (located under Start > Settings > System > Memory) is only enabled to display the memory information for the device named Storage Card.

NOTE: The PocketZip drive naming convention is different than the convention for other storage devices such as Compact Flash. If you insert a Compact Flash card into the first slot of an Expansion Pack, the card is named Storage Card. If you insert a Compact Flash card into the second slot the card is named Slot2.

OPENING FILES SAVED ON POCKETZIP DISKS
To open a file from within a built-in application, such as Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, and Windows Media Player, the file must be stored in a folder named My Documents.

Many applications automatically create the My Documents folder on your disk when you save a file to the disk.

REINSTALLING THE IOMEGA TOOLS FOR POCKET PC
To upgrade or reinstall the Iomega Tools for Pocket PC:

1. Remove any PocketZip drive(s) from the Expansion Pack.
2. Reinstall the Iomega Tools.
3. Reinsert the PocketZip drive(s).
